Greater Portland Christian School celebrates winning season - By Chris Spaulding, AD at GPCS



The GPCS varsity boys soccer team finished the regular season 11-2-1 with a 10-1 win at AR Gould.
Sophomore and Windham resident Ethan Spaulding became the school's all-time leading goal scorer with his third goal of the game. Spaulding now has 61 career goals, breaking Anthony Simpson's record of 60 set in 2010. 

Matt Hammond scored two goals and had two assists. His second goal of the game came off a flip throw from John Konczal. The fourth time this year the Lions have scored from one of Konczal's flip throws.
Jeremiah Hammond had a goal and three assists. Eddie Daigneault and Teddy Lane scored a goal each. Jeremy Daigneault and Chris "Shaker" Purinton each scored their first career goals.

Mason Jones made one save in goal. 

Ryan Birdeck scored for AR Gould. Dairiyin Wolfe made 14 saves for AR Gould.

Greater Portland Christian will host a quarterfinal game on Tuesday, October 28th. The time and place will be announced next week.
