Lady Eagles show their might and win a hard fought game By Franklin Glowczak

The Windham High School girls’ basketball team, the Lady Eagles, played and won a hard fought game against the Portland High Bulldogs on Friday night, January 27.

#5 Meghan Hoffses avoids Portland defense.
Each team had its own strength and weaknesses that kept the game a back and forth battle through the last three periods. Windham opened with three pointers that looked to make a large margin victory in the first period.

Portland answered with height advantage, rebounding on the offensive side of the basket to tie and eventually take a one time lead in the second period.

The third period was a battle for the lead. Thanks to the exceptional ball handling and precise shooting, the Lady Eagles were able to seal the victory late in the fourth period.

The final score was 62 to 65.
