Windham J.V. football owns the field against Edward Little - By Stephanie Coffin

Traveling to New Auburn to face the Eddies was well worth it for the Eagles on the Junior Varsity Football Team. Winning 44 – 16 and playing strong the entire game, the Eagles showed team work at its fullest.

The Eagles dominated the field with both passing and running the ball. Quarterback Tanner Bernier was successful in handing the ball off to Cameron Hoffses, Nate Watson, Nazari Henderson and Jabari Washington to gain yardage during each play. These boys can plow their way through any defense they come up against it seems. Running the field with several Eddies hanging on their backs and legs did not deter them from gaining ground. Several passes thrown to Hunter Coffin were caught with success as he leapt over players heads to be seen.

This team of players looks really good and it shows as they continue to work together. The attitude on the sideline is contagious. They support one another if a play goes wrong and pump one another up when they are on fire.

The Eagles have started the season off with a 2-0 record. Next game is out of town, against Lewiston on Monday, September 22. Next home game is Monday, September 29 at 4 p.m.
