U CAN 5K hosts another successful event - By Michelle Libby



U CAN 5K race this past weekend saw approximately 130 runners compete in the annual race to honor former teacher Candace Woolston. The event started and ended at Sheri Gagnon Park in Raymond. 
Richard Flagg, 47, of Scarborough, placed first with a time of 19:07.23. The first female was Julia Rand, 19, of Raymond, with a time of 21:39.26. 

According to the registration and results in RunInARace.com, the most senior runners were Bob Payne, 77, of Raymond and over 70 for the females were Faye Gagnon, from Portsmouth, NH and Diane Anderson from Raymond. The team winner was Between a Walk and a Hard Pace.
The benefit raised a little over $2,000.
