Windham High School sophomore Alexis Wintle is The Windham
Eagle athlete of the week. Daughter to Kristen and Dean Wintle, Alexis is a
three season athlete competing in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.
“Ali has just been crowned the 2014 Class A state champion
in the girls’ high jump competition for indoor track. She is a class act on and
off the playing surfaces and has worked hard for this honor,” said athletic
director Rich Drummond.
She hopes to win States in the high jump again during her
high school career. After high school she said she would like to go to a four
year college for engineering and continue to compete in cross country and
indoor track.
Best way to unwind after competition: I always enjoy going
home to spend time with my family and friends after a meet.
