For nearly four quarters, both the Eagles and the Vikings hammered away at each other. The Eagles' offense worked hard for every touchdown they got, and it took an interception and a fumble before Windham was able to breathe easier and slip away with 26-10 victory over Oxford Hills last Friday night.
The Eagles started pushing in the second quarter and quarterback Leslie threw a 36-yard pass to Zach Davis that placed Windham on the 14-yard line. From there, Windham worked its way to the two when Kyle Houser scored and Josh Dugas added on the extra point.
The Vikings tried to work their way down field but just
couldn't find the end zone. The Eagles
continued towards the Vikings' 4-yard line and called upon Josh Dugas again to
boot another field goal, making it 13-7 at the half.
Late in the fourth quarter, the Vikings fumbled and
Windham's Matt Roy recovered putting the Vikings out of commission.
