Riptide Soccer wins at Memorial Day Tournament


Teammates from several surrounding towns who are part of the FSC Riptide U15 socccer team recently won a championship in their age bracket at the 2013 Memorial Day Soccer Tournament held in Needham, Massachusetts. The FSC Riptide team won all five of its matches over the weekend against premier teams from Rhode Island, New York and Massachusetts and ultimately won the championship in a close 2-1 match over Town Plot F.C. Pontes from Connecticut. The FSC Riptide soccer club was founded in 2010 and has four teams playing in premier competitions in Southern Maine.
