The eighth grade boys played the Gorham Rams last week
and the result was a win. Logan Emerson, Nick Curtis, Nate Watson, Cory
Hutchison, Josh Lacombe and Mitchell Budroe started the pace of the game as a
strong one for the first period. The momentum was carried over into the second
period with Mike Gilman, Hunter Coffin, Nazari Henderson, Ryan Logue, Kiante Smith
and Sam Mazziotti. The Rams had no chance to catch up and as the second half of
the game. The Eagles took home another win for the season.
Then the team hosted Scarborough, who is a one of the
tougher opponents. Scarborough came to play with every intention of going home
the winners and showed their determination on the court. However, the Eagles
stepped up to the plate and had no intentions of letting this game be lost.
The game was tied with less than a minute left in the
game and neither side able to score. The fans on both sides were excited to see
the game go into overtime. Windham scored right off the bat with a 3-point shot
from Mike Gilman. Scarborough had possession of the ball and as they headed
down court Nazari Henderson stole the pass. Hunter Coffin came up with a jump
ball and Nick Curtis made a basket followed up with another basket from
